Keeping content fresh

As users view your website they will develop an idea of how much they can rely on your website. A website that is updated, timely and relevant is much more attractive than a site with old and unhelpful information. If your site has a news or blog area, make sure you keep it updated.

The SilverStripe CMS includes a default report “All pages – oldest to newest”, which you can use to identify the oldest pages on your site, and update them where you feel necessary.

Not only should content be kept fresh, but the presentation of the site also should be kept looking fresh and up-to-date. It is often off-putting to arrive at a website that looks like it was made many years ago, especially in the case that the site’s content is art or design related.
